A current CBS series practically designed for Comic-Con is headed to the event with a few extras this year.

One is an Artist Series, featuring leading artists portraying “The Big Bang Theory” characters and scenes through fine art. The gallery exhibit will feature seven original pieces as well as prints for sale (don’t worry, fans, these and more prints will be on sale throughout the next year as well). This is going far beyond the few fan-made art exhibits that shows like this attract: Warner Bros. invited professional artists to create their own works based off the hit series for this art show.

Brief Take: “The Big Bang Theory” is arguably the most Comic-Con friendly show headed to San Diego, only making it harder for them to one-up themselves each year. With devoted fans and Comic-Con themes in the show itself, Warner Bros. and CBS has to keep up with the marketing and onsite stunts for this show more than any other. This event is one to get people talking and keep its fans involved.

Two examples of the art that will be featured are below:

“Big Bang Cats”

“Little Big Bang Theory”
