Adult Swim is making a point of giving its ultra fans an even better and more intense Comic-Con experience this year.

The network is teaming with State Farm to provide a personalized Comic-Con week for Adult Swim fans, including a VIP golden ticket sweepstakes, a fun house and a costume contest, all updated constantly at adultswimpresents.com.

First, starting on Thursday morning, the Adult Swim booth will give out pamplets with information about its events throughout the week, but a lucky 10 guests will also find inside their pamphlets an Adult Swim’s Get to a Better State Sweepstakes golden ticket, which grants them VIP status for Adult Swim events at Comic-Con.

Adult Swim’s Costume Contest, presented by State Farm, is taking the practice of dressing up for Comic-Con to a whole new level. The contest will be for fans onsite in San Diego but also Adult Swim fanatics at home, who can upload photos through the Adult Swim app, Facebook or Instagram. The winner in the best Adult Swim-themed get-up will win $1,000, a trip to Atlanta and have their costume featured in a TV spot. How-to videos for how to make the perfect “Venture Bros.” costume are already on their site.

Brief Take: Giving out golden tickets could be a golden event-based promotion for Adult Swim. A contest like this, which gets fans at both Comic-Con and at home engaging directly with the brand, can produce good will and word-of-mouth that extends well beyond three days in San Diego.
