Raise a glass to Comedy Central’s Drunk History, which returns for a slurry season five on Tuesday, January 23, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, after starting its life on FunnyOrDie.com.

The series, which features celebrities getting drunk and narrating chunks of history replayed by sober actors, returns with seven new episodes and then will finish out season five later in 2018 with six more episodes.

The third-season premiere of Comedy Central’s Another Period will follow at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

In episode one, GirlsNight breakout Tiffany Haddish narrates museum curator Rose Valland’s (Cougar Town‘s Busy Phillipps) quest to save Europe’s masterpieces from the Nazis; Paget Brewster slurs her way through the story of Deborah Sampson (Westworld’s Evan Rachel Wood), the first woman to take a bullet for America during the Revolutionary War; and Amber Ruffin recalls the bravery of Clara Barton (This Is Us’ Mandy Moore) who founded the American Red Cross with the help of surgeon James Dunn (Big Little Lies’ Alexander Skarsgård) and Abraham Lincoln (30 Rock‘s Jack McBrayer).

Created for television by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, Drunk History is produced by Central Productions and executive produced by Waters and Konner, along with Gary Sanchez Productions’ Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Owen Burke. Ian Friedman and Daniel Wolfberg are executives in charge of production for Comedy Central.
