Why be subtle when you’re Comedy Central?
“We need explosions. We need action. We need to give the people a taste of what’s to come,” says the promo editor.
In the above trailer, published Monday, the network promotes its wide variety of comedy offerings heading into the final stretch of Emmy voting. From Inside Amy Schumer to The Colbert Report to The Daily Show to Key & Peele and more, the network’s got something for everyone’s comedy taste, no matter how warped it might be.
The trailer was immediately uploaded across the Internet, on platforms such as ComedyCentral.com, YouTube, SnapChat Discover and Facebook, with versions customized for each platform.

“We are celebrating our talent certainly with Emmy voters, but also with our fans as well,” Walter Levitt, Comedy Central chief marketing officer, told The Hollywood Reporter.
“They are incredible, iconic moments,” Levitt said. “We screen lots of episodes of our content and try to find the moments that best represent the incredible talent we have at Comedy Central. The team did an amazing job of highlighting all of our franchises in a way that is both fun and celebratory.”

Last year, Comedy Central received 21 Emmy nominations, and won three, including outstanding variety series for The Colbert Report.
“Vote for us,” the network commands at the end. “Because global warming is real.”
