Comcast and Justice Department officials met on Wednesday, and the ensuing press reports indicated that DOJ wanted the deal to be reviewed by a judge, potentially dragging out the process for months or years.
Speculation now turns to who Comcast might cozy up to next, with Bright House Networks and Charter Communications both mentioned as potential targets.
Comcast could also aim for a content company like Discovery Communications, Starz, or Lions Gate, according to TheStreet.com.
