Stephen Colbert and Comedy Central kicked off the final marketing push for The Colbert Report on Thursday by revealing the list of celebrity guests who will grace the show’s stage during it’s last week on the air.
Seth Rogen will pay a visit to the host to promote his new film The Interview on Monday, December 15. He’s followed by Kendrick Lamar on December 16, who will perform in addition to sitting for an interview.
National Book Award-winning author Phil Klay (Redeployment) will make an appearance on Wednesday December 17.
But the final spot on December 18 is reserved for “Stephen’s colleague and lifelong friend, Grimmy,” also known as the Grim Reaper and Colbert’s travel agent.
“Our last week of shows is going to be really special, just like every other week,” said Colbert in a statement.
In preparation for Colbert’s shift over to CBS as the new host of The Late Show come September, Comedy Central will air a marathon of classic episodes from The Colbert Report’s nine-year run on the network beginning at 10 a.m. ET/PT on Thursday morning.
