CNN Films, in partnership with Magnolia Films and Participant Media, brings documentary RBG to CNN on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3, at 9 p.m.

The film, which was previously released in theaters, explores the life and career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who has developed an outstanding legal legacy as an unwavering defender of women, while becoming an unexpected pop-culture icon.

As she says in the film, “All I ask of our brethren is that they take our feet off our necks.”

To promote the project, CNN created a campaign intended to eventize the film’s television premiere, while highlighting some fascinating and inspiring moments from both her personal and professional life. To do this in the spots both above and below, CNN leveraged archival footage of the justice’s early years, musical tracks that hint at her rockstar status, and interviews from heavyweights on both sides of the political aisle.

“I’ll Fight”

“Notorious”
