“We can’t change what happened. But we can change what will.”
HBO’s left-behind series debuted a new (rather convincing) ad, inspired by the many medical prescription commercials we all see every day, for a faux product called “Loved Ones.” The spot advertises a “bereavement figure” for those family members or friends who were taken so that those still on earth can find peace.
“The Leftovers,” a novel adaptation that checks in with the people still around after their loved ones disappear, premiered on HBO June 29.
