Cleo Wagner has been tapped to serve as director of Los Angeles-based experiential agency Stimulated-Inc.’s new creative activism initiative, which will use community building, experiential activations and digital content to inspire social good.
“Adding Cleo to the team not only gives us a creative talent that can help us communicate with all generations, but one that can also speak authentically from a young perspective. That’s important for our younger audiences,” said Stimulated-Inc. CEO Robb Wagner in a statement. “We started off 4 years ago by diving head-first into purpose-based work and we’re still taking the dive today.”
Wagner, who graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2019, will focus on the development of five core activism-based projects: sharing down-ballot voting information, including young people in the climate conversation, curbing plastic pollution, reinventing charitable gifting and using art to inspire change.
“I have always wanted to use my words and ideas to help inspire others to get involved in creating change, but until now, I didn’t know quite how to do it,” Cleo said, also in a stagement. “Becoming Director of Creative Activism at Stimulated is exciting because it allows me to channel my passions and energy into a force for good that will lead to real, palpable impacts on the world.”
The initiative comes on the heels of Stimulated-Inc launching CauseXT, the agency’s creative division dedicated to transforming experiences around causes.
“We’re using our experiential transformation model to be even more active and make a bigger impact,” Robb said.
Robb and his wife Pam started their first creative activism project, Refill90 “Free Water” together in 2018.
“When we saw people choose our Refill90 ‘Free Water’ experience over a major sports drink experience with millions in marketing behind it, we quickly realized that we were connecting with people in a more meaningful way,” Robb said.
Last weekend (August 27-28), Stimulated-Inc. rolled out Elect Good People at its first experiential activation, Conscious Market, in Santa Monica.
