“Time to light the yule log … otherwise who knows what might come down our chimney,” says Aunt Zelda (Miranda Otto) in Netflix’s trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale holiday special.

In the episode, The Church of Night celebrates the Winter Solstice—when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan stories and tell ghost stories on the the longest night of the year.

Yet the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors—both welcome and unwelcome.

The special is written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Donna Thorland, and directed by Jeff Woolnough. It debuts on December 14—and should tide fans over until the second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres on April 5.
