UK broadcaster Channel 4 has launched its new second screen app, 4Now, that allows advertisers to target users within ads timed perfectly for their on-air sponsored commercial breaks.
After its beta launch in July, the channel’s more than 8 million viewers have access on the app to information about its programming, exclusive content and “play-along games” for the user when watching a show.

Brief Take: Channel 4 has already developed stand-alone apps like Horse Tracker or The Bank Job, but this marks the first of a centralized app.
