London-based 4Creative and Channel 4 were named the U.K.‘s “Creative Channel of the Year” at the annual PromaxUK Conference and Awards on Nov. 3 and 4 in London.
Together, the agency and the channel created such work as the channel’s rebrand, an inspiring campaign for the 2016 Paralympics and a retrospective but modern campaign for 20 years of Hollyoaks: “One Killer Week.”

4creative also won best on-air idents (done by an out-of-house team) for its Channel 4 rebrand, best drama promo for Hollyoaks, best reality promo for The Jump, and best launch and best sports promo for its Rio Paralympics spot, among others.
Other big winners for the night were MTV UK Creative for best on-air idents (done by an in-house team), ITV for best clip-based drama promo, Sunshine and BBC Three for best original entertainment promo and Comedy Central UK for best clip-based entertainment promo for its clip-based spot showcasing the 20th anniversary of South Park.

The 2016 PromaxUK “The New Normal” Conference and Awards were held Nov. 3 and 4 at Here East at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and at the Hilton Park Lane in London. The awards, which celebrate the best in television, digital marketing, advertising and design, were hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan and sponsored by ENVY Post Production.
