CBS renewed 18 primetime series for the 2014-15 season on Thursday, one day after handing “The Big Bang Theory” a massive new three-year renewal deal.
Thursday’s batch of renewals includes nine drams, five comedies, two reality series, and two news programs.
Altogether, The Eye Network has picked up 20 returning shows for next season.

In addition to “The Big Bang Theory,” CBS already renewed long-running “Survivor” for 2014-15.
Brief Take: With 17 hours of programming already locked in for next season, CBS is confident there isn’t much need to rock its ratings-winning programming boat.
