The fight for women’s rights gains an unlikely opponent in FX on Hulu’s limited series, Mrs. America.

That rival is Phyllis Schlafly (Cate Blanchett), “the sweetheart of the silent majority” who leads the fight against the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. Behind the movement are a group of second-wave feminists aiming to secure equal rights to all—regardless of sex.

The newest spot (above) comprises archival footage from the ‘70s—protests, stay-at-home housewives, political marches—and a retro typeface to match before Schlafly is revealed as the movement’s biggest obstacle.
