Cartoon Network is gathering all of its games into one virtual place at the Cartoon Network Arcade, sponsored by Lego Group, and making them available via one app, launching Monday, March 11.
U.S. players will be able to download the Cartoon Network Arcade app for free via the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once downloaded, they can play all-new games and collect more than 60 digital collectible figures, including an exclusive one from Lego.
The arcade is intended to integrate the Cartoon Network viewing experience with the playing one, encouraging players to collect figures by watching shows. ACR technology embedded in the app will allow it to recognize what episode a viewer is watching and then discover characters from favorite Cartoon Network shows such as Adventure Time and Teen Titans Go!
The app also will offers fans the opportunity to participate in immersive activities based around different shows, quest for unique figure collections tied to on-air events and vote for which games and figures they would like to see next.
Games to be available at launch include Gumball’s Block Party, Bottle Catch, Rainicorn’s Flying Colors, Brains vs. Bugs and more.
