Cinemax this June will premiere C.B. Strike, based on three mystery novels penned by J.K. Rowling writing as Robert Galbraith.

The limited series, which already aired in on the UK’s BBC, stars Tom Burke as military hero and ladies’ man Cormoran Strike, and The Borgias’ Holliday Grainger as his new sidekick and potential love interest.

Episode one adapts the story Rowling told in her first Strike novel, The Cuckoo’s Calling, while episodes two and three retell The Silkworm and Career of Evil.

Rowling, who came to global fame as the author of the still very popular Harry Potter series, turned to writing mystery novels under the Galbraith pen name after the Potter series was complete. The first of these was The Casual Vacancy, which was published in 2012 and HBO turned into a mini-series that aired in 2015.

Los Angeles-based creative agency AV Squad produced the above trailer.
