In a full-on blitz on Sky Sports, BT will offer its new sports channels at a price “as good as free” to existing customers. The promotion comes as the company seeks to take on new customers and “democratise coverage of the top flight and make it more affordable for those who feel priced out by Sky Sports’ stranglehold on the best games,” “The Guardian” wrote yesterday. BT Sport has secured the rights to 38 live Barclays Premier League football matches as well as Exclusive Aviva Premiership rugby matches, Women’s Tennis Association matches, Ultimate Fighting bouts, and more. Recently released promos for the channels feature such BT Sport brand ambassadors as Manchester United’s Robin van Persie, Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale and Manchester City’s Joe Hart.
