For season two of its original series, Johnson, Scripps-owned diginet Bounce worked with Atlanta-based content agency Tre Native to reintroduce the cast to a new audience. The season-two campaign focuses on the characters, their relationships and their growth.

The show’s four main men – Omar Johnson (Thomas Q. Jones, a former NFL running back who is also the showrunner) , Greg Johnson (Deji LaRay, who also created the show), Keith Johnson (Philip A. Smithey) and Jarvis Johnson (Derrex Brady) – are not related to each other but have been best friends since they all met in grade school 25 years ago. Now, all grown up, they find themselves in different places, but they are all confronting similar issues that face Black Men in American society – whether those are about love, marriage, business, politics or religion.

Season two of Johnson premieres July 10 at 8 p.m. on Bounce.
