After Showtime canceled its historical drama “The Borgias” this June, fans immediately took to Facebook, Twitter, skywriters and petitions to save the show and beg Showtime to revive their favorite pope-centric drama on TV. Though Showtime assured fans the show was gone for good, the show’s creator Neil Jordan had other ideas.

Jordan, who had created a screenplay for a follow-up “The Borgias” film or longer finale, worked with Showtime in order to work the script into an eBook format, which will be released with the premium network’s help. The eBook, “The Borgias Apocalypse,” will be available this week, and will hopefully provide some more solid closure for fans of the show who believed the Season 3 finale didn’t wrap up the series to their satisfaction.
