Bounty hunter (or not?) Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and mercenary Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) return to Tatooine to take over Jabba the Hutt’s abandoned crime syndicate when Disney Plus’ The Book of Boba Fett premieres Dec. 29.

The story kicks off after being teased in a surprise end-credit sequence at the end of season two of The Mandalorian, which also featured a cameo from none other than Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

The Book of Boba Fett is the second new live-action Star Wars series to come to Disney Plus after The Mandalorian, which stars Pedro Pascal in the title role and is returning for season three. Series about other fan-favorite Star Wars characters—exiled Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), former Jedi Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and rebel spy Cassian Andor (Diego Luna)—are coming soon.

The Book of Boba Fett is executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karent Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers with John Bartnicki producing and John Hapian co-producing.
