Leading up to the 2019 NBA All-Star game on Sunday, Feb. 17, Turner Sports’ Bleacher Report will take over Charlotte’s Music Factory for the ultimate fan affair.
For the second year in a row, the B/R x NC Fanfest will be jam-packed with live programming, music, non-stop hoops, interactive exhibits and more to entertain thousands of NBA fans, hype up the big game, and celebrate basketball culture in North Carolina.
The event also will serve as the activation of House of Highlights, the newest social media sub-brand of Bleacher Report. The House of Highlights space will include live programming with exclusive interviews, basketball competitions, a gaming room, and more. Caesar’s Entertainment, Adidas, McDonald’s and Mountain Dew are among the many sponsors of the event.
B/R x NC will also feature well-known celebrities like Lil Durk, Sada Baby, TJ Porter, Fabolous and Jadakiss, in addition to a highly-anticipated closing performance from multi-platinum recording artist and former college basketball player, 2 Chainz.
“Each year, the biggest stars and athletes descend upon NBA All-Star Weekend to help make this one of the biggest and most viral events of the year,” said Howard Mittman, Bleacher Report CMO/CRO, in a statement. “We have created a physical representation of the Bleacher Report and House of Highlights brands to foster and deepen the connection between the NBA players and our massive community of Gen Z and Millennial fans.”
In addition to an interactive experience for attendees, the event also promises a great experience for those at home enjoying the event through B/R platforms.
“We aim to create an engaging experience on the ground for our fans in Charlotte, as we simultaneously harness the power of our social and digital distribution to bring fans, not able to attend the event, the type of exclusive content they’ve come to expect from Bleacher Report,” Mittman said.
Tune in to the action before the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, airing on TNT on Sunday, February 17.
