“Good things can happen when you’re honest about who you really are,” says Sally (Sarah Goldberg) in season two of HBO’s Barry. But that might not be the best strategy for Bill Hader’s hitman-turned-actor character as he tries to hide his identity as an assassin from her and his acting coach Gene (Henry Winkler).

The sophomore season finds him trying to balance both of his lives, and centers around deep introspection as he considers telling those around him the truth about his day job.

“Barry, there is an inherent darkness in you,” Gene tells him at one point in the trailer.

Barry also stars Stephen Root, Glenn Fleshler, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Anthony Carrigan and Darrell Britt-Gibson.

Season two premieres March 21 on HBO.
