USA is giving fans of its summer series plenty of online options to engage their fandom. For its hit spy show, “Covert Affairs,” premiering Tuesday, July 16, the network is bringing back the show’s web prequel, “Sights Unseen,” which follows blind CIA agent Auggie Anderson (Christopher Gorham) before his “Covert Affairs” days.
The series, presented as a partnership between USA and Jaguar—whose F-TYPE model is featured in the show—runs for six weeks, allowing fans to watch and play along. During the webisodes, fans help Auggie complete missions and play spy-themed mini games. Successful spies can win exclusive content and earn points toward the show’s Covert Operatives fan club.
Brief Take: USA is well known for their summer programming, and it’s working hard to increase the popularity of its summer series by offering robust Web and second-screen content. “Sights Unseen” gives USA another opportunity to hook fans throughout the season as well as include big-name partners like Jaguar.
