We’ve already revealed our list of the promos we loved in 2013, but it looks like Adweek has taken the annual media end-of-year top 10 list and given it their own twist.

The staff at Adweek have come up with a list that they say showcases the 10 most “epic” promos of the past year. And they’ve got some pretty nice things to say about the TV marketing community in general.

“It was a mixed bag for TV generally in 2013, but not a bad year for TV promos—in fact, some of the most inventive ads on the dial (or the Web) were from folks promoting new or returning shows,” writes Adweek.

So who turned out an “epic” promo this year?

Top of the list is FX with an “Archer” spot that “killed it” according to the magazine (you can judge for yourself above).

ABC won kudos for the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” promo “Level 7,” which made everyone want to tune into a show they thought was “going to be The Avengers every week.”

And FX comes in for praise again with the “American Horror Story: Coven” spot “pins” which gets points for its creep and shock value.
