After months of speculation, it looks like Apple’s online TV service is coming together.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the service, which will launch on Apple TV and other devices, will be priced at $30-40 per month and carry content from broadcasters including ABC, CBS and Fox.
Apple is expected to announce details of the service at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June, but sources say that it could launch as early as September with more than 25 channels.
The company is said to be in talks with several media conglomerates to create a smaller bundle of channels that would be an additional subscription option. The service would be more expensive than Dish’s recently launched Sling TV (priced at $20 a month).
Apple’s TV will most likely launch on Apple TV initially, but will also be available on iOS devices including iPhones and iPads.
The news comes just after Apple and HBO announced the soon-to-launch HBO NOW app, a standalone streaming service for HBO content, coming exclusively to Apple TV.
