Now, the forthcoming streaming service has unveiled the trailer for its first feature-length documentary, The Elephant Queen.

Filmed over four years, the wildlife documentary follows a family of elephants—led by matriarch Athena—as they travel across an African savannah in search of a new home.

It’s narrated by The Lion King’s Chiwetel Ejiofor, and developed by filmmakers Mark Deeble and Victoria Stone who spent 25 years living in the East African bush to prepare for their nature odyssey.

The Elephant Queen was previously shown at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, the 2018 BFI London Film Festival, and the 2019 Sundance Film Festival before landing on Apple TV+. The film is set to arrive in select theatres on Oct. 18, two weeks before the launch of Apple TV+.
