Angelina Battista has been promoted to vice president, brand creative, at Comedy Central, said Josh Line, executive vice president, marketing and creative, on Wednesday.

In her new role, Battista leads a team of designers and art directors to ensure that all campaigns, content, key art, photography and design is on Comedy Central’s brand. She also provides artistic and creative direction toward defining and refining the visual identity of Comedy Central. Battista reports to Vedia Ayvaz, senior vice president, brand creative and is based in New York.

“Angelina is integral to elevating the impression of Comedy Central through art that expresses the quality of our content and unique perspective of our talent,” said Line in a statement. “She’s an unflappable leader who inspires her team to push for ideas that grab attention and make us laugh.”

Battista has been at Comedy Central for 13 years. During that time, she has led major campaigns supporting both the launch and ongoing promotion of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah as well a Broad City, Corporate, South Park 15: Year of the Fan, Inside Amy Schumer, Drunk History, Key & Peele, Workaholics and multiple Comedy Central Roasts.

Battista came to Comedy Central from advertising where she worked creating and directing television ad campaigns and designing for print ads, packaging and experiential.

She served as an art director at multiple agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey. Her clients included Sephora, Starbucks, Toshiba, Vanity Fair, ASPCA, Nestle, and more.

She has won multiple Clio and Promax awards and won the Cannes Lions Grand Prix Award for 2018 for her work on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Presents: The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library. Battista is a volunteer of See Spot Rescued and the Liberty Humane Society, where she offers her design services and assists with adoption events to help place dogs into their forever homes.
