The set of At Home with Amy Sedaris looks very much like the comedian’s apartment.

“Only cleaner and bigger,” Sedaris said during the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

Her home is essentially a prop room, and she didn’t want to be in a situation where she needed an important item and didn’t have it on hand.

“I didn’t want to be on set and be like ‘Oh, if only I had that miniature cigar,‘” she said, because you never know when you might need a miniature cigar.

Sedaris will put her unique homemaking and entertaining skills on display, in a very non-Martha Stewart kind of way, in a new comedy featuring 10 half-hour episodes premiering Tuesday, October 4 at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Each episode tackles a different theme such as grieving, poverty, the craft of love-making (wait, what?), gift-giving, holidays and cooking for one.

The format features Sedaris with guests playing characters—with the exceptions being personalities Stephen Colbert and Jane Krakowski.

I’m actually not good at making anything,” Sedaris said “But i’m really good at spotting people who have talent and can make things for me.”

Her love for home ec has been prominent since high school, and she said she has always wanted to do a homemaking show.

The series is co-created by Sedaris and Paul Dinello and is produced by PFFR with Sedaris, Dinello, Alyson Levy, John Lee and Vernon Chatman executive producing.

During its presentation at TCA, Turner also debuted upcoming truTV documentary The Problem with Apu, in which comedian Hari Kondabolu confronts his long-standing “nemesis” Apu Nahasapeemapetilon— better known as the Indian convenience store owner on The Simpsons—and explores the creation of this controversial caricature.

TBS unveiled a fall slate featuring three new series, the first of which is The Last O.G., starring and co-created by Tracy Morgan, and set to premiere October 24. The series marks the 30 Rock star’s return to television, where he plays an ex-con who is shocked to see just how much the world has changed when he is released from prison for good behavior after a 15-year stint.

Drop the Mic is hosted by Method Man and Hailey Baldwin is set to premiere on October 26, and is based on a segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker’s Wild will also feature the wrapper as the host of TBS’s comedy-driven reboot of the classic game show, which is scheduled for a fall debut. Snoop Dogg joined TNT and TBS President Kevin Reilly on stage for a surprise Q&A with critics about the show.

TBS will also launch season two of Search Party on November 19, leading into the week of Thanksgiving.

And Angie Tribeca will return for a fourth season following two consecutive seasons of growth in the target 18-49-year-old demographic. The 10-episode season is slated to launch in 2018.

Meanwhile, TNT greenlit straight-to-series drama One Day She’ll Darken, a six-episode series inspired by the autobiography of Fauna Hodel, who was given away by her teenage birth mother to a black restroom attendant in a Nevada casino in 1949.

As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel, a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery, the spider in the web around the legendary “Black Dahlia” murder of Elizabeth Short in Los Angeles in 1947.

The show is directed by Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman, Monster) and written by author Sam Sheridan. It also stars Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Hell or High Water). The series is being produced by Turner’s Studio T, with Jenkins and Michael Sugar (Spotlight, 13 Reasons Why), and Sheridan and Pine serving as executive producers. It will shoot this fall.

TNT’s Good Behavior starring Michelle Dockery as con artist Letty Raines will also return for season two on October 15.

And TNT renewed original drama Animal Kingdom for a third season as strong multi-platform viewing has positioned it as cable’s only top-20 drama to show year-over-year growth among adults 18-49.

“The Cody family’s drama keeps bringing more and more viewers back for more,” said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT, in a statement. “Animal Kingdom has earned its place among a very select group of cable dramas that continue to grow audiences thanks to superior writing and storytelling.”
