Cable network AMC celebrated the Fourth of July with its “Dead, White and Blue” marathon for its hit zombie series, “The Walking Dead,” which got viewers caught up with the most recent season, culminating in a “Talking Dead” season five preview special and two more specials coming up. Most importantly, however, fans got a brief glimpse into the new season with a 30-second tease (above).

“Talking Dead,” the aftershow hosted by Chris Hardwick, presented a preview special on July 6 with ‘Walking Dead” executive producer Scott M. Gimple and actress/comedian Aisha Tyler. The three talked “Walking Dead” staples such as the three questions and tried to get Gimple to open up about some season four mysteries (where’s Beth?).

“Inside The Walking Dead” and “Inside The Walking Dead: Walker University” are set to debut July 8 and July 15, respectively, both providing behind-the-scenes looks into the making of the show.

“The Walking Dead” kicks off its fifth season on AMC in October.
