That ratings for cable networks are down has been well reported this year — especially as parent companies’ stock prices also fell — but a few managed to buck the trend, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

AMC, with mega-hit The Walking Dead, was the only top-ten cable network to show growth, gaining 10 percent among the key advertiser demographic of adults 18-49. AMC also boasted cable’s three biggest new-show launches with Fear the Walking Dead, opening to 6.3 million adults in 18-49; Better Call Saul with 4.4 million; and Into the Badlands, which debuted to 4 million viewers in the demo.

Meanwhile, Viacom’s Comedy Central, which saw both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert depart this year, is down 27% in same-day primetime viewing.

Brief Take: 2015 has been a hard year for almost everyone as far as ratings are concerned. Any network that can boast growth has much to be proud of.
