Amazon will premiere 10 new and returning season through the end of 2016, the streaming service said Sunday at the Television Critics Association press tour at the Beverly Hilton.
In addition, the service announced a name and a premiere date for Woody Allen’s series, Crisis in Six Scenes, debuting Sept. 30.
One Mississippi premieres Sept. 9 and stars comedian Tig Notaro in a comedic series drawn from her own life. In the series, Notaro leaves Los Angeles and returns to her hometown in Mississippi after her mother’s untimely death. The trailer is below and the pilot is here.
Adapted from the award-winning play of the same title, Fleabag stars playwright Phoebe Waller-Bridge and debuts on Sept. 16.
Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning Transparent returns for season three on Sept. 23. The trailer is featured above.
One-hour drama Goliath, which features a Goliath of a cast in Billy Bob Thornton, William Hurt and Maria Bello, tells the story of a David vs. Goliath legal battle. The show, premiering Oct. 14, comes from David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro who have worked together on such legal dramas as Boston Legal and The Practice.
Two weeks later, Good Girls Revolt—starring Anna Camp, Genevieve Angelson, Erin Darke and Joy Bryant—debuts on Oct. 28. The series, set in the 1960s, is based on Lynn Povich’s book, The Good Girls Revolt.
Like Netflix’s summer hit, Stranger Things, season two of comedy Red Oaks takes the audience back to 1986, for a series set at the Red Oaks Country Club. Red Oaks returns on Nov. 11.
Golden Globe winner Mozart in the Jungle, starring Gabriel Garcial Bernal, returns for season three on Dec. 9.
Finally, one of Amazon’s highest-profile series, The Man in the High Castle, comes back for season two on Dec. 16. The show, starring Rufus Sewell and Alexa Davalos, is based on the Philip K. Dick novel.
One more series, The Grand Tour, starring Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear fame, hasn’t announced a premiere date yet.
