Amazon Prime Video kicked off awards season with a For Your Consideration (FYC) activation at Bank of America Winter Village in New York City’s Bryant Park. The activation began Nov. 2 and will run through the end of the year.

Awards season begins with the Critics Choice Awards on The CW Jan. 9 as well as the Golden Globes, which will be handed out off-broadcast this year after scandal engulfed the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 2021.

Amazon is taking over the Alcove Bar and rebranding it The Lodge by Prime Video. There, visitors will find cozy outdoor igloos as well as an indoor bar where they can order food and sip drinks themed to Amazon series and movies. Movie and series art deck the walls, tablecloths and coasters. The tables will include “Sip to Stream” cups and QR codes that visitors can use to link to trailers and learn more about spotlighted titles.

Featured movies in the activation include The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, My Name is Pauli Murray and Val, all of which start streaming this month, and Being the Ricardos, The Tender Bar and A Hero coming in December and January. Featured series include The Pursuit of Love, With Love and Harlem.

Cocktails created by mixologists at Stout NYC and served at The Lodge by Prime Video include:

—Inspired by The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, The Electric Spritz, which is a mix of cranberry and orange juices, rosemary, and Prosecco and The Cat’s Meow Martini, with ingredients including whiskey, brown sugar and cold brew.

—Inspired by The Pursuit of Love and inspired by Emily Mortimer’s character, is The Bolter Old Fashioned, is a mix of whiskey, spiced chai, lemon juice and bitters.

Besides The Lodge by Prime Video, visitors will be able to enjoy New York City’s only free admission ice-skating rink and holiday shops.
