Amazon has laid out plans for the debut of 14 new original pilots on its website. Soon, after the retail site rolls out these samples of its original programming, it will ask fans to give feedback on which shows stay and which get tossed aside. In a twist on digital programming and taking a note from the power of social chatter, Amazon is trying to step away from the traditional TV pilot order model. In the end, Amazon’s view input model may steer online-only programming toward a new “wait and see” model proving more efficient for studios.
