Netflix has unveiled a brooding trailer for season two of the British dark comedy-drama, The End of the F***ing World.

Set to an acoustic cover of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding,” the dialogue-free clip shows an expressionless Alyssa (Jessica Barden) moving through ordinary life as a diner waitress and (apparent) bride-to-be.

She’s also followed by a mysterious new character (Naomi Ackie), described to have “a troubled past and mysterious connection to Alyssa,” Netflix says. That’s made clear in the trailer, which flashes between both characters and is accompanied by the tagline, “You can’t escape from yourself.”

Most notably, the trailer offers little insight on James’ (Alex Lawther) whereabouts or condition after season one’s inconclusive cliffhanger. However, the trailer ends by showing a bullet with his name inscribed, and season two’s key art noticeably shows Alyssa sitting across from an urn:

The first installment was based on Charles Forsman’s 2013 graphic novel of the same name. Often described as a “Bonnie and Clyde” adventure, the series follows rebellious teen Alyssa and sociopath James as they flee their troubled lives together.

Season two, set two years after the inaugural season, launches Nov. 5 on Netflix.
