To announce Tiger Queen Carole Baskin’s return to TV, Discovery partnered with Bethesda, Md.-based creative agency AlterEgo to produce a big cat-themed trailer for her new two-part docuseries, Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight. The spot draws out the drama—tagline: “claws are out”—with tiger-tinted graphics and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.

“I’ve been going after animal exploiters for decades,” Baskin says in the trailer. “Joe Exotic is one of them, and he’s in jail.”

Joe Exotic aka Joseph Maldonado-Passage was the protagonist in Netflix’s hit docuseries Tiger King, in which Baskin also starred. Exotic was sent to 22 years in federal prison after being convicted of participating in a murder-for-hire plot to kill Baskin. A federal judge awarded Exotic’s Oklahoma property to Baskin and her Big Cat Rescue in June 2020. Since then, Baskin, retired homicide detective Griff Garrison and her team have been investigating the property for lingering evidence of animal trafficking and abuse, finding many shocking things along the way.

Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight—which is produced by ITV America’s Thinkfactory Media as well as by Baskin and her husband, Howard—drops on Discovery Plus on Saturday, Nov. 13.
