A+E Networks promoted Amanda Hill to chief marketing officer, where she will be help expand the brand across all platforms, from linear television to direct-to-consumer to OTT and digital.

Hill previously oversaw marketing, communications and programming teams as the as chief creative officer for the A+E’s international division. In her new role, she’ll use her creative vision and knowledge of global markets to manage and evolve marketing for the network’s portfolio of businesses, including brand strategy, consumer and B2B marketing, and creative execution in the U.S. and abroad.

The position is based in New York and Hill will report to A+E CEO Nancy Dubuc.

“Amanda has made a vast and immediate impact on our business since joining A+E Networks fourteen months ago,” said Dubuc. “As the lead creative on the International team, Amanda has been a game changer in terms of bolstering our creative acumen around the world and helping to further establish A+E Networks as leaders in the global content marketplace.”

Prior to joining A+E, Hill served as chief brands officer for BBC Worldwide, where she developed overarching brand strategy for the network’s businesses and formats, and developed and oversaw BBC Earth.

She also led global launches of three new genre-brands, plus the current portfolio of 14 brands including Dancing with the Stars, Top Gear and Doctor Who.
