A+E Networks has launched a series of initiatives in response to the coronavirus pandemic to provide inspiration, hope and entertainment to its viewers.

The pro-social campaign, #WeAreHereWithYou, encourages social distancing measures through talent-led public service announcements, CDC messaging, and brand spots across linear, digital and social channels.

“Our networks and content are invited into homes and into viewers’ lives everyday, and we take the responsibility of brand trust seriously,” said Elizabeth Luciano, senior vice president, consumer marketing, in a statement. “With our talent delivering the message of ‘Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay Home,’ it’s an emotional connection with our viewers, reminding them that we’re all in this together.”

A+E Networks is also sharing information and resources about the health crisis to support the work of non-profit organizations that are raising awareness, funds and resources for first responders across the country.

History has partnered with veteran-led disaster response organization Team Rubicon who, through its #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors campaign, has volunteers across the country delivering medical supplies and food, supporting emergency operation centers, and staffing testing stations, among other operations.

“It goes without saying that we wouldn’t be able to fight this fight alone; A+E’s on-air support will help us to connect with viewers, educating the masses while encouraging them to join in on our efforts against COVID-19. With the support of A+E and their viewers, we can continue to carry out our mission of providing aid to vulnerable populations impacted by COVID-19,” Jake Wood, co-founder and CEO of Team Rubicon, said in a statement. “We’re grateful to have such a renowned organization on our side, supporting us, as we support our nation in the fight against this pandemic.”

Other organizations that A+E Networks is supporting include: the USO of Metropolitan New York, the Gary Sinise Foundation, the First Responders Children’s Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund, and the American Red Cross, which is calling for blood donations.

A+E Networks is also providing free, educational and entertaining programming as people around the world practice social distancing. That includes History at Home, a new hub aimed at middle and high school students that offers more than 100 episodes of educational programming organized into 10 core curriculum topics. History is also offering free trials of History Vault, which features more than 2,000 hours of documentaries, series and specials.
