Adrienne Houghton, Daytime Emmy award-winning television host, pop vocalist and lifestyle personality, will host the 2019 Promax Latin America and U.S. Hispanic Online Awards Show.

Global entertainment marketing association Promax made the announcement on Monday ahead of its first online event. Houghton will announce the winners of this year’s Latin America and U.S. Hispanic Awards, streaming exclusively on Facebook Live at 3 p.m. EST.

  • Houghton has served as co-host of The Real since its debut in 2013, making her the first Latina daytime talk show host on English language television. In 2018, she and her co-hosts won a Daytime Emmy Award as outstanding entertainment talk-show host and an NAACP Image Award for outstanding talk series.

    Houghton rose to fame in 1999 as the lead singer for multi-platinum R&B group, 3LW. In 2003, she became a founding member of The Cheetah Girls, starring in a series of cult classic Disney Channel films, in addition to other credits like That’s So Raven and Coach Carter. Before The Real, Houghton hosted MTV’s afternoon programming block, BET’s 106 and Park and VH1’s Morning Buzz.
