Adrianne Anderson has been named vice president of marketing at KABC Los Angeles, said Cheryl Fair, president and general manager, KABC, on Friday.

“We are pleased to welcome Adrianne to the ABC7 family,” said Fair in a statement. “Along with her talent and experience, she brings with her a deep appreciation and understanding of the importance of local news and information across all platforms in today’s world, as well as the connection ABC7 has with the community.”

In this new position, Anderson will oversee brand strategy, creative development, audience engagement initiatives, and non-news content creation across all of KABC’s platforms.

Prior to this, Anderson had served as vice president of marketing and creative services at Tribune-owned KTLA Los Angeles since 2015, overseeing promotion and marketing for the station, while also implementing and managing the station’s digital and social marketing strategy.

Before that, Anderson was vice president of marketing at Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Group where she was responsible for setting integrated media strategies, overseeing all media buying for WB brands and managing media campaigns.

During her earlier tenure at Warner Bros. Entertainment, she was vice president of marketing for Warner Bros.’ Telepictures Productions, which produces such first-run programming for TV stations as The Ellen Degeneres Show, People’s Court and Judge Mathis.

She also has held creative management positions at KTTV and KCOP in Los Angeles, as well as KYW and WCAU in Philadelphia. She started her career at WTVJ Miami.

Anderson has won two Daytime Emmy awards for her work on launch campaigns for Ellen DeGeneres. She’s also won Promax and Addy awards over the course of her career.

She graduated cum laude from Hofstra University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications. She’s the mother of 10-year-old twin girls.
