The Disney-owned ABC Television Stations partnered with co-owned National Geographic on five-part documentary series California Dreaming: The Future of the Golden State that considers modern problems faced by the state.
The special explores such topics as housing, the cost of living, wildfires and earthquakes, talking to current and former residents of the state. It also spotlights in-depth interviews with elected officials, local leaders and experts who discuss how the state can go about solving some of these problems.
The special is a collaboration between ABC’s three owned stations in California—KABC Los Angeles, KGO San Francisco and KFSN Fresno—and will air in those stations’ newscasts at 4 p.m. in Los Angeles and at 6 p.m. in San Francisco and Fresno.
