To celebrate the return of The Wonder Years, ABC took the gas station at Highland and Franklin in Hollywood back 50 years, allowing guests to fill their tanks—and their bellies—with gas and food priced like they were more than 50 years ago.

The activation ran Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 21 and 22, ahead of the series premiere of ABC’s rebooted Wonder Years, starring Elisha “EJ” Williams as young Dean, Dulé Hill as his father, Bill, and Saycon Sengbloh, Laura Kariuki, Julian Lerner, Amari O’Neil and Milan Ray. Don Cheadle narrates the series as a grown-up Dean.

The reboot tells the story of the Williams family during the late 1960s through the point of view of 12-year-old Dean, who is growing up in a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Ala.

The series is executive produced by Lee Daniels, Saladin K. Patterson and Fred Savage, who starred in the original series.

The Wonder Years premieres on ABC on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
