As season one of ABC’s hit comedy Abbott Elementary comes to a close, series producer Warner Bros. Television is partnering with Feeding America on the weeklong “Think Outside the (Lunch) Box” campaign to raise awareness about food insecurity.
To that end, WBTV is donating 150,000 meals to Feeding America, while turning to social media to encourage others to support the organization as well. Every $1 donated helps serve at 10 meals on behalf of local member food banks, according to the organization.

“Elevating the issue of food insecurity is essential in the fight to end hunger,” said Lauren Biedron, vice president of corporate partnerships at Feeding America in a statement. “We are grateful to Warner Bros. Television, ABC/Disney, and the Abbott Elementary team for joining us to help ensure that our neighbors facing hunger get the meals that they need.”
The “Think Outside the (Lunch) Box campaign will run from April 11–15. WBTV is working with influencer chefs Eitan Bernath and Ahmad Alzahabi, who will create lunchbox meals and discuss the impact of food insecurity with their followers across Instagram and TikTok. Bernath is @eitan on Instagram and TikTok, and while Alzahabi is @thegoldenbalance on Instagram and TikTok.
WBTV is also posting a stylized Abbott Elementary school menu at the start of the week across the @warnerbrostv Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook social platforms, introducing the chefs’ schedule for the week.
