This year more than ever before, it seems like TV is dominating San Diego’s annual Comic-Con.

Comic books, movies and retailers are certainly still on the ground, but television is staking its claim as one of the most-marketed, most innovative brands at the event. With marketing activations on the convention center floor, in the park outside, in the Gaslamp District and on the very tote bags everyone is carrying, television is looking for new and exciting ways to present shows and networks to the public.

Check out what five of those brands have in store this week:

FX:

The upcoming American Horror Story: Hotel is perfect for an event like Comic-Con, so FX is going big this year with its FX Fearless Arena.

The Arena will be used to promote AHS: Hotel, The Bastard Executioner, The Strain and Fargo. The space will take up the entire Hilton Bayfront Park July 9-12.

The park is next to the convention center and will be transformed into a theme park for the week, with a two-story model of a hotel for AHS: Hotel where fans can earn prizes, a live-action virtual reality experience with Samsung Gear VR for The Strain, a faux duel for The Bastard Executioner and a giant inflatable snow globe for the next season of Fargo.

Other onsite opportunities for FX brands include Archer water fountains, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia sunscreen stations, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll concert button giveaways and Kwik-E-Mart trucks.

Warner Bros.:

No matter where attendees go at Comic-Con, they are sure to see Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. will kick off the week by dominating the floor, hosting pilot screenings of its new series Supergirl, Lucifer, Blindspot and Containment. The studio is also getting prime placement the week of Comic-Con with a special branded issue of TV Guide Magazine that highlights its series including Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and iZombie.

The booth on the convention center floor will be working overtime as well, promoting more than 15 Warner Bros. TV shows. And don’t forget the signature Comic-Con bags, which will be emblazoned with Warner Bros. shows including Gotham, The Flash, Supergirl, Lucifer, The 100 and more.

Cartoon Network/Adult Swim:

Cartoon Network’s outdoor area is expanding this year, this year focusing on its new We Bare Bears and more Adult Swim events.

The network is hosting evening screenings at the Adventure Time Royal Ball on Thursday where fans dress up as their favorite characters, and the Clarence and Friends Pajama Party on Friday, where the voice of Clarence joins fans to watch episodes and give out prizes.

Adult Swim’s Meatwad Dome is back at Adult Swim On the Green behind the convention center. Rick and Morty’s spaceship will also crash-land on the spot and the Carnival Midway offers chances to win prizes by playing classic and branded carnival games onsite.

MTV:

Last year, MTV’s Teen Wolf booth was one of the longest lines in the convention center. This year, the network is ramping things up to promote Scream, The Shannara Chronicles and another season of Teen Wolf.

Teen Wolf will attend Comic-Con for the sixth time, but this is the first year for Shannara Chronicles and Scream. Scream: The TV Series will feature a slo-mo photo booth where fans can “experience their own bloody death.”

MTV is also bringing its Fandom Fest and Fandom Awards to the event on Thursday, hosted by Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey and Scream’s Bella Thorne. The second annual awards show/party will be held at Petco Park across from the convention center with food, games and giveaways.

Turner:

TBS’ Conan is planning special onsite episodes at Comic-Con with appearances from the cast of Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and The Hunger Games.

To preview the event, Conan will show three episodes of a series with his very own superhero alter ego, The Flaming C.

TNT’s The Last Ship has a virtual reality activation with Oculus Rift where fans board cargo ships taken over by survivors of the show’s plague in order to retrieve a vital cure. The network will also use the event to promote the last season of Falling Skies.
