Miami-based 2C really boosts the creep factor in this promo for NBC’s new serial-killer drama, Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector.
The spot tells its story from the Bone Collector’s point of view instead of that of the show’s lead, Detective Rhyme (Russell Hornsby), and the result is quite scary.
“You didn’t think we were finished, did you?” the Bone Collector asks as the spot gets started, reading from a post card that he has sent to Rhyme. The story picks up after Rhyme has been seriously injured after a previous confrontation with the serial killer.
“Focusing on the perverse cat-and-mouse challenge being issued, we had actor Brian F. O’ Byrne, who plays the part of The Bone Collector, voice our script,” said Marni Wagner, 2C creative director, in a statement. “We wanted to create a spot where his taunting words give the audience insight into the characters’ history and the plot of the show.”
New series debuts Friday, Jan. 10, at 8/7 c on NBC.
