Fox’s big “24” comeback has been celebrated since its first real sneak peeks at this year’s Super Bowl, and Fox hasn’t slowed down since.
Jack Bauer has been seen in 30-second spots, brief teasers and key art almost every week over the past few months doing what he does best: making threats and getting himself out of tight situations. Most of the earlier spots focused on telling the new story briefly, but as weeks went by, Bauer fans got to see him in action more and more.
“24: Live Another Day,” which premieres Monday, May 5, is set in London this time around, so poster art surrounding Bauer’s action has made the most of the iconic British skyline. Key art was released in March to that effect, which also presented the #JackIsBack hash tag that Fox has used throughout its campaign.

When a full-length cinematic trailer debuted for the big TV event, the basic storyline had already been out there for weeks, so the focus became reiterating Jack Bauer’s reputation and where he stands leading into this international conflict. The trailer also allowed the network to re-introduce a fan-favorite character, Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) with the hash tag #chloehack and faux website open-cell.org.
Fox has planned a preview event for the “24” return on Saturday, May 3, in an attempt to catch up fans on what they might have forgotten since “24” was on the air and to bring in new viewers. Until then, however, the broadcaster is using “24’s” tradition of that ticking clock to count down each day until the debut. Using #24in12, Fox’s YouTube page has released a new short scene (the longest one is 26 seconds) each day since April 24.
