Congratulations to FX Networks, who last night was named 2014 North America Marketing Team of the Year for the third year in a row.
The Marketing Team of the Year is awarded to a company who has demonstrated outstanding and creatively innovative work, and is ultimately decided by the sheer number of awards won in the 2014 Promotion, Marketing and Design North America Awards competition.
FX Networks’ marketing group is led by Stephanie Gibbons, president of marketing and on-air promotions. Gibbons’ team helped craft some of the most memorable campaigns of the past year on television, working on fan favorites like “Sons of Anarchy,” “American Horror Story,” and “Archer.”
Here’s a sampling of the work that helped FX Networks earn the title of 2014 Marketing Team of the Year:
Sons of Anarchy “Brawl”
Season 6 of the biker gang drama got slo-mo and violent in this :30 spot that won three awards this year.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia “Movement”
For the series’ first season on FXX, the company went with a series of nine videos inspired by the work of Swedish Director Ingmar Bergman.
Archer in the “Danger Zone”
The network went full Top Gun and recreated the iconic ‘80s movie soundtrack music video for Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” featuring the cast of “Archer” in the roles made famous by Tom Cruise, Anthony Edwards, and company.
American Horror Story: “Slither”
Wanna get really creeped out? Just watch the snake in this short teaser for the Season 2 of the FX horror hit “American Horror Story: Coven.”
Justified “Roadkill”
To promote its new season which premiered in January, “Justified” continued with its tradition of cryptic, minimalist teasers.
