New YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki unveiled a slew of new features for the online video platform at VidCon on Thursday that are designed to make it easier for content creators to make money and expand their reach.

The Google Preferred program, which lets brands put ads on the top 1 percent and 5 percent of videos, will be expanded, Wojcicki said.

Upload speeds will rise to up to 60 frames per second (ideal for gaming), and and the platform will also allow users to place their Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns directly on their pages.

Users will be able to upload their own subtitles to videos—a nod to the global reach of the platform—and the Music Library of effects and sounds available to creators will be expanded.
