Impulse’s pilot episode, released in June 2018, has scored nearly 55 million views as a result of being one of the service’s pilots it released for free to the public. But after the pilot, the series went behind the YouTube Premium paywall so performance metrics have been unavailable,

On Sept. 24, YouTube is dropping that paywall and making all of its original series and specials available to watch for free with ads, including season one of Impulse. Season two will premiere on YouTube on Wednesday, Oct. 16, with new episodes dropping weekly.

Prior to that, YouTube made season one of Cobra Kai, the follow-up to ‘80s hit movie franchise The Karate Kid, available on the service to watch for free with ads on Aug. 29. Season two of that series became available on Sept. 11.

In season two of Impulse, Henrietta “Henry” Coles (Hasson) finds her life turned upside down when a traumatic event reveals that she can teleport. Making things more complicated is that she’s not the only one who has learned she has this power and now she must determine who’s for her and who’s against her. A man, Nikolai (Callum Keith Rennie) seems like he wants to help her, but even his motives are suspect.

The action-packed trailer is set to Bille Eilish’s “when the party’s over.”

Besides Hasson, Missi Pyle stars as Henry’s mother, Cleo. The series is produced by NBCUniversal’s Universal Content Productions, Hypnotic, and showrunner and executive producer Lauren LeFranc. Liman, David Bartis and Gene Klein are executive producers while Vladimir Cvetko and Mairzee Almas are co-executive producers.
