WGN America’s Manhattan won the 2015 Emmy for outstanding main title design.
The title sequence was created by Imaginary Forces, a creative studio known for its work in TV design and main titles. Manhattan also won the top award for title design at this year’s SXSW.
The Creative Arts Emmys, which air a week ahead of the Primetime Emmys, were handed out on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Microsoft Theater at L.A. LIVE. The event will air on FXX on Saturday, Sept. 19, one night before the 67th Annual Primetime Emmys are broadcast on Fox.
Other nominees in the category were FX’s American Horror Story: Freak Show, Amazon’s Bosch, AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire, Netflix’s Marvel’s Daredevil and HBO’s Olive Kitteredge.
Manhattan airs on WGN America and it’s a co-production of Lionsgate Television, Skydance Television and Tribune Studios. Dan Gregoras served as creative director, Jeremy Cox as art director, Jon Hassell as creative producer and Griffin Frazen as designer.
