Even though 409 new scripted series were produced in 2015, we all have those shows to which we long to return. Shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Sex and the City that feel like home to us, like long-lost friends.
Mashable brings us this very helpful guide to those shows. Who cares that Netflix alone has Jessica Jones and Daredevil and Bloodline and Master of None and so much more, sometimes you really just want to settle in with snacks spend some quality time with Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe. We do miss them.
We’re not going to list all 50 shows here, but here are some of Brief’s favorites from the list.
Parks and Recreation
See Chris Pratt before he became the biggest star on the planet.

30 Rock
You are so right, Mashable.

Arrested Development
This show’s jokes-within-jokes format almost makes it a necessary re-watch. You definitely didn’t get it all the first time around.

No list like this would be complete without Buffy and we’ll throw in another Joss Whedon great, Firefly, for good measure.

At only 14 episodes, Firefly is almost like a long movie, and there’s a bonus in that there actually is a movie, Serenity, to wrap everything up.

Lost was designed for binge-watching before we knew there was such a thing.

Finally, no binge-watcher worth his salt hasn’t binged Breaking Bad, although watching the often grim series a second time might be a sort of hero’s test.

Brief Take: We’ve got a lot of TV to watch over the holidays.
